NOTE

Strength Standards: Aim High, Progress Gradually

Exceptional strength is defined as the ability to walk with double your body weight for 30 seconds, while more attainable benchmarks suggest a male in his forties should carry his body weight for one minute and two minutes for an excellent performance. For women, carrying 75% of their body weight is considered an excellent achievement. It is important to note that strength training should be approached progressively, with an understanding that initial attempts may not meet these standards, especially for those not accustomed to deadlifting and other strength exercises.
