Differentiating Taiwanese political parties

The Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) promotes traditional progressive ideas, emphasizing equality, diverse marriage rights, labor interests, and the environment. On the other hand, the Kuomintang (KMT) leans towards conservatism, rejecting non-traditional family constructs and emphasizing business interests. The Taiwan People's Party (TPP) aligns more with the KMT but presents itself as a third-party middle ground.
