The Sacred Second Self

The concept of the sacred second self is akin to the Buddha nature or the deep identity between the Akman and Brahman in Vedanta. This idea of aspiration is prevalent in non-theistic religions like Neoplatonism, where it is not tied to theism. The term 'divine double' is replaced by 'symbolic self' or 'sacred second self' to detach it from theism and emphasize its symbolic nature.
