NOTE

Fitness and Coronary Calcium Levels Impact

A study on 25,000 individuals showed that 75% had low coronary calcium levels below 100, regardless of their level of physical activity. There was a 50% reduction in events among these individuals. Although a slight risk increase for higher calcium scores was noted with more physical activity, there was no significant difference in calcium levels between those who did no activity and those who exercised eight hours a week. People were better off being fit with low calcium levels, and fitness helped mitigate the impact of high calcium scores on health outcomes.
