NOTE

Exploring Broad Learning Across Age Groups

The study delved into the concept of broad learning being more predominant in children compared to specialized learning in adults. It highlighted the challenge of finding jobs that value broad learning as society rewards productivity. The study involved older adults aged 58 to 86 engaging in intensive learning akin to a college course load, covering subjects like Spanish, photography, drawing, and music composition. After three months, their cognitive abilities improved significantly, resembling middle-aged adults. Surprisingly, after a year, their cognitive abilities further increased to levels comparable to undergraduates, demonstrating the remarkable impact of continuous broad learning across age groups.
