Awareness is the First Step to Change
The process of understanding the body involves three critical steps, beginning with Awareness, which focuses on recognizing physiological and neurological messages. This involves tuning into the body's signals, especially during conditions like POTS, where there is a disorganized response from the brain and nervous system. Awareness helps identify underlying emotions such as anxiety or threat responses associated with physical symptoms. Following Awareness, the second step, Interruption, emphasizes the need to disrupt entrenched behavioral patterns. The mind and body prefer familiar responses that have been effective in the past, necessitating conscious efforts to initiate change by breaking these habits.
