NOTE

Embrace Complexity: Speed and Quality Can Coexist

The assumption that speed and quality are mutually exclusive trade-offs is fundamentally flawed. Often, people present a false dichotomy, suggesting that one must choose between fast and good outcomes. However, quality does not inherently decrease with speed; rather, it hinges on the depth of understanding of the problem and the thoughtfulness applied to the solution. Many examples demonstrate the correlation between slow execution and poor quality, indicating that slow-moving teams are unlikely to produce high-quality results. Instead, successful outcomes are achievable at a fast pace when teams are knowledgeable and strategic about their work. The misconception that slow processes yield better results does not hold true, as high-quality software outcomes are more about insight and expertise than the amount of time spent on development.
