Freedom Does Not Equal Autonomy

Pseudo thinking leads individuals to adopt beliefs and ideas without critical examination, often influenced by societal norms and external pressures. This automaton conformity can persist even in democratic societies, where the illusion of choice may mask genuine freedom. Advertisements and media can manipulate perceptions just as effectively as authoritarian control. Thus, freedom, while beneficial at times, can also complicate life, revealing that it is not an inherent virtue nor a guaranteed route to autonomy or empowerment.
