Encourage clients to consider if they desire their current situation to persist in the future. If they hope certain aspects of their life or relationships will change in the next five years, prompt them to question why they are allowing those things to continue now. This approach helps individuals realize the importance of addressing issues promptly instead of delaying inevitable changes and prolonging discomfort.
