Seeing Others at Different Levels
Seeing others involves three levels of understanding. Firstly, it's about seeing the unique individual and understanding their point of view. Secondly, it's about recognizing the group they belong to, such as their race or religion. Lastly, it involves understanding their social location and how it shapes their perspective. Culture acts as a lens through which we see the world and understanding the various lenses through which people see the world is essential in truly seeing and understanding them.
