NOTE

Soreness as a Measure of Exercise Quality: Very Bad

Soreness is a poor indicator of exercise quality, especially for beginners to moderate exercisers. Professional athletes also do not consider soreness as a metric for a good workout. It is not ideal for assessing workout effectiveness due to various reasons. Stress is necessary for adaptation, so feeling sore should not be the only indicator of a successful workout. It is recommended to aim for a soreness level of three on a scale of one to ten for most of the workout sessions.
