The Science of Methylation and MTHFR with Dr. Ben Lynch

The Joe Cohen Show

NOTE

Conversion Process from Methyl Folate to Phylic Acid

Methyl folate cannot directly become phylic acid but needs to go through the MTR, MTRR pathway with methyl cobalamin, first becoming tetrahydrofolate. Methyl folate donates its methyl group to cobalamin and homocysteine to form tetrahydrofolate which then, through enzymatic steps involving MTHFD1 enzyme, converts into phylic acid.
