In the future, there might be a rise in drugs and supplements to support neuromodulators release, not for altering mental states but to combat dementia by keeping dopaminergic neurons active. Anecdotal evidence from a Nobel Prize-winning neuroscientist suggests the use of nicotine to counter age-related neuron loss. However, instead of such extreme measures, focusing on maintaining neuromodulators, promoting strong blood flow to the brain through cardiovascular exercises, and engaging in physical activities that stimulate neuromuscular connections like dance can help preserve cognitive abilities and potentially enhance physical performance.
Recently I had the pleasure of hosting a live event in Melbourne, Australia. This event was part of a lecture series called The Brain Body Contract. My favorite part of the evening was the question and answer period, where I had the opportunity to answer questions from the attendees of each event. Included here is the Q&A from our event at Plenary.
