What is UX?
User Experience (UX) encompasses the entirety of a user's interaction with a company, including the user interface, customer support, instructional materials, and marketing, which collectively shape user expectations. The definition of usability focuses on the ease of use of products, particularly technology, with the key components being learnability, efficiency, memorability, low error rate, and user satisfaction. Learnability assesses how quickly new users can accomplish tasks, while efficiency evaluates the number of tasks completed per hour after familiarity is achieved. Memorability measures the ability to resume proficiency after a break, and a low error rate is crucial in high-stakes applications like healthcare and e-commerce, where mistakes can be costly. Satisfaction reflects the overall pleasantness of the user experience. While usability is a critical aspect of UX, UX encompasses a broader scope, integrating usability with additional quality criteria for a holistic user experience.
