The Power of NSDR Practices

NSDR encompasses hypnosis and yoga nidra as tools to deliberately access states of deep rest for improving sleep, reducing stress, and enhancing learning. These practices involve self-directing a state of calm through respiration and vision, as well as directing focus to something, rather than turning off thoughts completely. They can be effective in teaching individuals to induce a state of calm, allowing thoughts to become fragmented, and entering a relaxed state where the brain's control over space and time becomes fluid and not conscious.
