The unrealistic expectation of student self-regulation and the negative impact of devices on learning and mental health
I believe it's unrealistic to expect students to self-regulate their device usage in class. Even adults struggle with it. Instead, I suggest setting a school-wide policy to avoid unfairness and the fear of missing out. It's clear that excessive device use is negatively impacting learning and mental health.
