Exiled parts of ourselves, shaped by rejection, neglect, and abuse, bear the burdens of these experiences. These parts are trapped in time, perpetually reminding us of their pain and influencing our current feelings and behaviors. Cultural narratives, especially in rugged individualist societies, often promote ignoring or locking away these vulnerable parts, insisting we simply 'move on.' However, this exile exacerbates our disconnection from our true selves, as these parts are essential for healing and integration.
