NOTE

Importance of Openness to Feedback for Leadership

Leaders should be willing to accept that they can be wrong and create an environment where their teams feel comfortable providing feedback. In many cases, teams working towards outcomes may be prescribed work, but when they present evidence contradicting the leader's opinion, the leader still insists on their way. This undermines customer centricity, objectives, and organizational agility. Hence, leaders should have strong but loosely held opinions, and be open to feedback.
