Productive Success Over Failure
Successful learning is best achieved through productive success rather than through the notion of needing to fail in order to succeed. Research indicates that success breeds motivation and further success, while failure often leads to demotivation. It is more beneficial to show individuals the correct way to perform a task, such as kicking a soccer ball, rather than let them experience failure before achieving success.
