**Politics is a phony religion **
In a healthy society, we practice the politics of redistribution, but instead we have the politics of recognition, where people seek leaders to affirm their side and humiliate the other. This leads to a lack of moral system, causing people to turn to politics for a sense of morality. However, politics only offers an illusion of morality, community, and moral action. It creates a culture war instead of true community and care for one another. This is the result of a hyper-individualistic ideology.
