NOTE

Seeking External Sources of Compassion

When practicing self-compassion, it's beneficial to give oneself a message that will bring comfort and healing, but it's important to remember that self-compassion doesn't have to come solely from within. Seeking compassion from external sources such as faith, nature, friends, ancestors, or formless loving awareness can also provide nurturing. This external support can act as a form of spiritual reparenting, bringing the needed presence and kindness for healing. Additionally, from a scientific perspective, this practice can rewire the brain, creating new neuronal pathways for empowerment, creativity, love, and clarity.
