The Tim Ferriss Show

NOTE

Episodic Memory and Participatory Knowing

There are four ways of knowing: propositional, procedural, perspectival, and participatory. Propositional knowing is knowing that something is true, procedural knowing is knowing how to do something, perspectival knowing is knowing what it's like to be in a certain situation, and participatory knowing is knowing by being. Each way of knowing has a distinct memory associated with it, and they all fit together to shape a person's relationship with reality.
