Evolving Through Open Source Innovation

Starting as an open source project in 2014, the initiative focused on engineering tools for replacing components, particularly in the Java microservices ecosystem. Initial efforts aimed at tackling specific tasks like swapping logging libraries and addressing security vulnerabilities. As the need grew, so did the scope, expanding language support and enhancing integration with compiler insights, such as type attribution and dependencies. The founders consciously decided against an open core model, shaping the future direction of the commercial product.
