Accept What You Cannot Change
Recognize the distinction between what you can control and what you cannot, referred to as 'gravity problems.' Just as we accept the constant nature of gravity without complaint, we should similarly acknowledge unavoidable constraints in our lives and work environments. Focusing on uncontrollable aspects can lead to unhappiness, while acceptance allows for a more productive and fulfilling approach. For designers, an enduring challenge is the general lack of understanding and appreciation of design within the broader professional landscape. This awareness of one's limitations and the acknowledgment of persistent 'gravity problems' can help direct efforts towards areas where meaningful impact can be made.
