A gynecologist invented kegel exercises, which strengthen the pelvic floor. Patients can perform these exercises by squeezing and relaxing specific muscles. It is recommended to start with a few repetitions lying down, then progress to sitting and standing. Doing 10 to 15 repetitions in the morning and at night, and possibly one more during the day, is advised. Overdoing kegel exercises can lead to pelvic floor dysfunction.
