Lifespan with Dr. David Sinclair

NOTE

Exercise Stimulates Long-Term Health Benefits

Walking after eating stimulates the uptake of nutrients and the production of new blood vessels. Physical movement activates a key longevity pathway called AMPK, which registers cellular energy levels. Low levels of ATP, the cell's chemical energy, activate AMPK, leading to the production of more mitochondria. This increased mitochondrial activity offers long-lasting health benefits. Low-level exercise is a good start but consistent vigorous exercise is also necessary, even short durations like 10-15 minutes daily can provide health benefits.
