Investment transactions typically take four to five months. The process includes preparing projections for the company, engaging with lead investors, going through pricing discovery and legal documentation, and giving LPs time to decide whether to sell or reinvest. Secondaries such as navalones are gaining importance as a way to provide liquidity to LPs, with navalones supporting portfolio companies being more acceptable than those raised against a portfolio.
