Flaws of 360 Feedback: It’s anonymous.
The anonymity of 360 feedback is problematic because it creates speculation and undermines trust. It promotes the idea that feedback can only be given safely through anonymity, which inadvertently communicates that feedback isn't safe. This undermines the goodness of feedback and can lead to a counterculture that is detrimental to the organization. The anticipation and anxiety leading up to 360 feedback can also create a toxic environment where employees are pitted against each other and are not authentic or genuine in their interactions.
