The Neapolitan Method
Platonia used chords in a unique way in the Listians, and looking at them from a counter-pointal point of view, they are more facilitated. When looking at the melodic movement horizontally, it creates less problems and heavy explanations are not needed if the movements are correct. In the Neapolitan method, dissonances need to be prepared, but when discussing horizontally, some of these dissonances don't need preparation. Platonia mentions in his harmony treatise that in certain situations, the dissonance is acceptable without preparation. Download his harmony treatise for more information.
