Jung once said that the greatest burden on a child is the parents' unlived life. This means that children often try to live out their parents' unfulfilled dreams to feel loved and worthy. This phenomenon is commonly seen in people who conform to their parents' expectations. It even applies to extreme cases like child actors. As a parent, hearing this advice can be unsettling and make you question your own parenting skills.
