Identifying a Tarpid Idea

A tarpid idea is a consumer idea that feels sexy, garners lots of encouragement and positive feedback. It emotionally attaches you to it, making you resistant to pivoting away. To be a true tarpid, one must be defensive when challenged about the idea, showcasing obstinate unwillingness to quit working on it. Otherwise, it simply qualifies as a regular bad idea.
