NOTE

Muscle Glycogen and Fat Oxidation Regulation

Muscle glycogen levels impact fat oxidation during exercise. High muscle glycogen leads to high insulin, inhibiting fat oxidation, prompting the body to burn glycogen first. Conversely, low muscle glycogen results in low insulin, boosting fat oxidation, allowing the body to burn fat. The regulation of glucose in muscle glycogen is independent of blood glucose regulation controlled by the liver, as muscle glycogen is designed not to release glucose to maintain blood glucose stability.
