The Nature of The Self, with Dick Schwartz
IFS Talks
Adaptation and learning is the point of life
Self, when viewed as an entity, often struggles against many blended parts, prompting the question of why such divisions exist if self is considered powerful. This mirrors a larger spiritual query about the presence of suffering and chaos in the world despite a benevolent God. The realization emerges that both phenomena are rooted in a model intended for learning. Life serves as a challenging school where lessons must be learned through overcoming burdens and healing fragmented aspects of self. The difficulties presented in life are necessary for growth, as effortless navigation would prevent meaningful learning and transformation.
