In building a performance and accountability culture through M&A, we emphasized respect and collaboration. Instead of taking a high-handed approach, we immediately reached out to the acquired organization, asking for their input and opinions. This empowered employees at all levels and made them feel valued. We conducted questionnaires and town halls to ensure open communication.
