Blowback
Awareness of Military Actions in Falusia
The American military was not in denial about the damage they were causing in Falusia; they were aware of the destruction they were inflicting. The military's goal in Falusia was to terrorize and annihilate, similar to past operations like Operation Phoenix in Vietnam. The damage done in Falusia was significant, as indicated by a 2010 study showing increased birth defects, infant mortality, and cancer rates surpassing survivors of the atomic bomb in Hiroshima. The use of depleted uranium rounds in tanks and jets, considered radioactive weapons, is cited as a reason for the health issues. Despite the violations of international law, the US military admitted to killing around 1,200 insurgents and causing civilian casualties of approximately 800 people.
