Developing the habit of asking the question, "How could I be wrong?" prompts us to take other people's perspectives. It acknowledges that our perspective may be very wrong and different from others'. Asking this question increases our curiosity, prompting us to go beyond our initial assumptions and ask questions of other people. It is an effective habit for perspective taking.
