Each and every one of us can start to make a difference in the local work cultures we take part in. For example, i bet my students and colleagues would feel better about keeping more sane work hours if they saw me doing that too. I'm also going to keep an eye out for touchstones, like the parking lot movie, that i can return to when my identity and sense of purpose are getting a little too defined by my career.
