Acknowledging and allowing oneself to feel hard emotions is crucial for empathy. While it's acceptable to complain, gaining perspective on struggles helps in responding with empathy. By honoring and empathizing with our struggles and those of others, healing is shared collectively. It's vital for parents, teachers, and individuals working with children to understand that perspective is shaped by experiences.
We have collectively hit weary. This is especially true for the brave folks on the front lines of this pandemic and for the people who love and support them. And it’s also true for all of us.
