Discovering Identity and Calling
Identity and calling are found in the voice of the spirit of God, but many people ground their identity in earthly things such as their performance, career achievements, and social standing. Society promotes the concept of being 'entrepreneurs of themselves' and emphasizes resume virtues and career success as identities. This leads to a paradox where despite having more opportunities than any other generation, mental illness rates are significantly high, particularly among the well-educated and career-focused individuals.
