The rate at which the stomach empties varies tremendously depending on what you put into it. So for example, if you just eat a saline meal, the stomach will empty much more rapidly than if there's protein in it. Anything that slows the emptying of the stomach will tend to induce t and reduce the length of time during which you feel hungry and want to eat.
