Balancing Tolerance and Intolerance in Society
The concept of child protection services is based on the need for a culture of tolerance, which seems lacking today. There is a notion that individuals have a limit to their capacity for tolerance and may need to exhibit intolerance in other aspects of life. In current American culture, there is a noticeable increase in tolerance for certain issues while simultaneously witnessing heightened intolerance towards issues that were previously accepted.
