Data Connection Challenges and Taxonomy

Connecting entities such as people, places, and products requires different join keys and a well-defined taxonomy. For people, join keys could be email address, phone number, or social security number, rather than just first and last name. Places can be connected using address or a place key, while companies can be connected using a place key. Products are more complex to connect due to the hierarchical relationships between related items, such as different variations of a product or no commonality between items.
