There are two ways to think about the future of BeReal. On one hand, they could innovate on their current format and find a business model that works for them. However, their current format may not be able to generate enough scale for a traditional social network business model. On the other hand, BeReal could ladder into something new and build upon their existing user base. This is what successful social networks like Instagram have done – they continuously evolve and introduce new features to keep users engaged. The original format may remain, but there needs to be a new opportunity or format to sustain growth. Ultimately, the key for BeReal is to find the next big thing that can bring continued user engagement and growth.
