A group of experts in neurocognitive studies were given a grant to study Mormons in Salt Lake City who had never used drugs except for ecstasy. The study found no evidence of neurocognitive consequences in heavy ecstasy users. However, a scientist named Georgia Cardi didn't publish the results of a study that showed some evidence of neuro terminal degeneration. This suggests a political agenda rather than scientific motives.
