Reality is an Interpretation of the Mind

The brain processes visual information by sending the left half of what we see to the right side of the brain and vice versa. The left brain functions as an interpreter, creating explanations and beliefs that often do not align with actual reality. This tendency to misinterpret is significant; the left brain focuses more on beliefs than on factual conditions, shaping our understanding throughout our lives without us being fully aware of its implications. The insights from Gazzaniga and Ramachandran highlight a crucial aspect of human cognition: the left brain's interpretations can be deeply flawed, yet they govern our perception of reality.
