Unblending by Recognizing and Engaging with Parts
Recognizing when a part is present is the first step in managing internal systems. Various techniques like saying hello to the part, using bilateral stimulation music, breathing, and acknowledging its presence can help unblend from the part. Listening to the information the part provides and validating its importance can create space for understanding its role. Understanding if the part is a caretaker or a helper and focusing on providing access to self rather than over-helping the client is crucial. By being present in the moment, focusing on what can be seen, heard, and felt, and identifying the awareness without any problems to solve, a sense of self can be cultivated.
