And in those cases, maybe women don't care quite as much about how kind he is or what a sense of humor is and all those kinds of things. So yeah, I think this sort of distinction here between formidability versus sexual attractiveness really gets at sort of what men are responding to. And they understand that like maybe women find the dad bod attractive, but guys aren't going to be impressed by that. And that's actually what's more important, right? Physically muscular guy walks around like, you know, he's going to be the one that's intimidating. And in the end, like that's going to be the person who probably attracts more sexual partners versus, you know, this sort of dad bod kind of guy. And like more generally, I think this ties into the evolution of secondary sex characteristics among men and why they evolved. Right. I mean, so David Putz, he's an evolutionary, I think he's an evolutionary anthropologist. And he's basically outlined, you know, like, why do we have these these secondary sex traits as men? You know, like because it's actually it's calorically and energetically costly to have large muscles, like to grow, you know, extra hair out of your face to in your voice changes and modulates, too. And that that also takes like extra energy to create that, you know, thicker brows. Our skulls are thicker, thicker bones, like all of these things. Like, what's the point of all of this? And he's hypothesized that this is actually, um, you know, all of our secondary sex characteristics or many of them anyway, are, are actually, uh, with a Steve Stewart, really, he says they're, they're deer's antlers rather than peacock's tails, right? So the peacock's tail is a direct advertisement to women like, look how beautiful and pretty I am and come mate with me. Whereas the deer's antlers like female deers don't care about how big a male deer antlers. Those antlers are actually to be used in competition with with other males.
