Misty Hagenes is an economist at the University of Kansas. She and her fellow economist, Peluk Suri, looked at how the pandemic affected working women. They found that moms in telework compatible jobs with a college degree or higher were differentially impacted by the pandemic. The women who had the most flexibility were more likely to pull back from the labor force.
