Many in the current generation are having children not solely due to material pressures but as an attempt to find value beyond the atomistic freedom paradigm. Making sacrifices and justifying them becomes challenging under this paradigm. Those who yearn for a different story and framework are the ones more likely to have children. Disconnecting from the mindset that prioritizes instant gratification is crucial to finding this new narrative. The conversation around freedom, even for older generations, is becoming outdated as the search for deeper meaning and purpose continues.
