McPherl started in 2009 and became successful because it built an inhouse database called ARB which allowed for arbitrary segmentation of data./nThis helped to fuel the first wave of explosive growth for product analytics because it was a burning problem at the time./nIn 2018, McPherl had a big churn problem and found that people were churning because they no longer needed the product analytics that the company offered.
